What is MusixMatrix?
MusixMatrix is a free social music game you play through YouTube. A host starts a Mix with a theme - "songs that make you feel invincible," "best movie trailer music," "unexpected covers" - and every player in the Mix submits a YouTube video that fits. Submissions stay anonymous until voting opens. Then everyone spreads their vote budget across the picks they love the most. Best taste wins the round, best taste across the whole Mix wins the game.
How to play
- Submit: Find any YouTube video that fits the round theme and drop the link. Anything on YouTube counts - songs, movie trailers, clips, unboxings, deep cuts, memes. The theme is the guardrail, the rest is your taste.
- Watch: When submissions close, every pick goes into the mix anonymously. Watch or listen to them all.
- Vote: You get a vote budget to spread across submissions you love. You can't vote for your own. You don't have to use all your votes.
- Conquer: Points accumulate across every match in the Mix. The player with the best taste takes the crown.

- Follow hosts: Get notified when your favorite hosts start a new public Mix.
- Free to play: No ads to players. Optional MANIAX subscription for a badge and to support the game.
Get started
MusixMatrix runs in your browser and as an installable Progressive Web App on desktop and mobile. No download required. Sign in with Discord or Google, join a public Mix from the Discover page, or create your own private Mix and invite your crew with an 8-character code.
